Charlotte contemplates her next
creation, 2007

I am a 49 year old mother of three adult children who
needed something constructive to do with her time after
retirement from Child Protective Services. After starting
taking classes in Ceramics at Mohave Community College, I
began with hand building but found my true niche on the
wheel. I prefer working working strictly low-fire clays and
glazes for I love the vivid colors.
I enjoy spending my free time at the wheel and
experimenting with different things I can try with my
pottery, sometimes combining wheel techniques with carving
and hand-building
My new project is making Swag Lamp Shades for different
size light fixtures. My first batch sold out, but I hope to
have more available soon!
